I cant understand the bad reviews this has had so far, lets go through some points, this is a light for ambience! Not for filling a room with light! Its the same as a lava lamp, would you read a book with just a lava lamps light, no you wouldn't.

Secondly if anyone bothered to read the instructions they would know it comes with a rechargeable battery and doesn't need to be replaced! And that if you read the instructions you will find that in winter it wont charge as well as it would in summer and last time i checked this was blighty not the bahamas! So in that respect its the same as most other solar powered lights, and its an led inside not a xenon bulb!

Personally i think its a great gift, and its the cheapest i have seen so far on t'interwebs it gives off a nice pleasing warm glow, so it would be great for whereever you might want a bit of atmosphere, you could even put them in the garden in the summer!
