Looking something like the result of an unholy mating between skateboard and quad-bike, the Nitro Dirtboard is possibly the most extreme piece of kit we have seen in some time.
Don't be fooled into thinking the Nitro Dirtboard is some weedy little scooter with a couple of extra wheels shoved on to appeal to skaters. This thing has real grunt thanks to a 5.4hp 80cc petrol engine capable of propelling the board and rider at up to 55km/h over rough terrain on it's 5" balloon tires.
The spec is rounded off by such top-end features as Magura hydraulic disc brakes, lightweight aluminium chassis, Step-in snowboard bindings, 5" Edwards Futura Kart Mag Alloys and a remote hand control for acceleration and breaking (assuming that you get the chance to use it before heading into a tree at 55km/h).
Why is it pointless?
There are easier ways to kill yourself.
Why is it cool?
There are possibly few cooler ways to kill yourself.
