Stylophone
Although Rolf Harris may be best known for his pioneering work in the field of theoretical physics, in his spare time he invented the stylophone.
These were all the rage in the 70s, with people gathering together for "stylee parties" whereby guests would perform flawless renditions of "Space Oddity" to a baying crowd and eat fondue.
You'll be excited to know then that the stylophone is back in vogue and cheaper than ever. Plus the latest incarnation has "bass" and "synth" sounds too and you can play along to your MP3s. Two extra things!
This is the inspiration you need for that a-tonal space-rock glitch-funk album you thought you'd run out of ideas for. Buy!
"Why is it pointless?"
You're more of didgeridoo kinda guy
"Why is it cool?"
Exposes the piano for the bloated space guzzler that it is
