Remote controlled planes are cool, but let's face it hold limited appeal for those blessed with nano-second attention spans like the Pointless team.
However, bolt on a digital camera and suddenly you have your own remotely operated spy plane: The perfect remedy for our A.D.D!
Suddenly a few loops of the car park are transformed into a sophisticated recon mission and a short flight on the beach is transformed into remote bikini appraisal - who could ever get bored of this???
The plane itself is light and easy to pilot with the included "four-channel digital proportional control" (whatever that is). The control also gives you access to the X-plane's impressive extra features.
As well as a digital camera the X-plane also comes equipped with it's own minature spy plane, capsule bomb and paratrooper - all of which can be released remotely via the controls.
The package also includes a charger and car adapter to minimise turn around between missions.
Why is it pointless?
Sorry - but it isn't pointless at all. Every one needs an X-plane. They should be issued at birth.
Why is it cool?
It's an R/C plane... It's a surveilance device... It's a remote delivery system... It's fantastic fun... and it is possibly my dream toy!
